The objectives of the programme are to: Produce highly qualified graduates who are able to understand and operate effectively in the world of challenging and changing information and computing technology.
Gain theoretical knowledge and practical skills in both computing and management. Strikes a balance between learning current techniques, which are important in the marketplace, and learning the underlying fundamentals and theories, which will be longer lasting and which will provide a sound basis for understanding and evaluating new approaches, techniques and technologies, and even new theories. Produce graduates who, with appropriate experience, will become hybrid managers i.e. managers/information systems analysts/computer scientists, well versed in the tools, techniques, approaches and philosophies necessary for the successful introduction of complex information and communication technologies in today's fast-changing world.
