Our innovators have access to two types of labs; The fabrication lab (Fablab) and Makerspaces. Both are equipped with advanced tools and technologies to help you create, prototype, and bring your products to market.

Fabrication Lab (Fablab)
The Fabrication Lab hosted at Ifakara Innovation Hub is a high-tech workshop equipped with sophisticated tools that enable the creation of advanced prototypes. This lab is perfect for innovators looking to develop precise, functional prototypes and conduct detailed research and development.

Maker spaces
Through our partners and collaborators, we have access to a network of well-equipped makerspaces that provide everything you need to create products ready for the market. These spaces are designed to be flexible and accessible, allowing you to turn your ideas into tangible products.

Makerspaces that Ifakara Innovation Hub has access to include Bongotech Research Labs and Robotech Labs

1. Computer Numeric Control (CNC) machines such as Vertical Milling Machine, Laser machine, Pipe bending machines
2. Printers as SLA 3D Printer, 3D Scanner
3. Power Tools such Hammer drill, Bench drill machines, Heat guns, Sewing machine, Precision screwdrivers, Glue guns.
